DMCA Policy

Zacit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
This page outlines how copyright holders may submit a claim and how we handle such requests.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or displayed on Zacit without your permission in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
To be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512), your notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including a URL or other specific location on the site
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf

3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted on Zacit was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. To be effective under the DMCA, your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or the district where Zacit is located, if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice
4. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, Zacit reserves the right to terminate, without notice, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
